There are two players on jobs in Kenya that together make fertile ground for conflict preceding the holidays; an amazing number of very selfish fellow-employees on jobs in Kenya, and an amazing number of harassed bosses who have results to show before the close of the year.

Let's start with the selfish fellow employees on jobs in Kenya and you can judge which side of the selfish you will fall on. There are people who believe that they have full and complete rights to go on leave, take a day off, get shorter working hours, and all things less work during the holiday season. The amazing logic for this attitude is; it's Christmas! As though Christmas only happens on their calendar, click!
These people will rub everyone the wrong way during this season because Christmas is on everyone's calendar and everyone would just love to be on holiday from the 12th of December to kindu the 15th of January or there about! If I am speaking to Kenyans with jobs in Kenya, please holler!
What many employees with jobs in Kenya do not know is the issues 'upstairs' or where-so-ever you generally associate with your bosses. Those seats in jobs in Kenya tend to be very hot around this time of the year. Why? Because 'bosses' keep their jobs only if they can show results in most cases a.k.a profits. So either they are planning gigs whose success is a life-line, or they are looking at figures that are not adding up to help them keep their jobs in Kenya.
Either way, their as*es are on the line and they are not feeling friendly and Christmas-y inside. Therefore, be warned that the drama brought on by your Christmas-is-on-my-calendar colleague will not help the tension on your jobs in Kenya.
How do you stay clear off the trouble? 1. If you have a Christmas-is-on-my-calendar colleague, lay it out clear well in advance. Let them know you are not going to take up their jobs to cover all your as*es while they party away. Christmas is on everyone's calendar – thank you!
2. If you intend to take a break on your jobs in Kenya, consult with the HR department, or the closest you have to that if you are in a small firm, and confirm the rules. All companies have rules on leave and holidays and do stay within the rules.
3. If you wish to take a day, or more off, make sure you clear your desk before you leave. You do not want anyone asking, 'why wasn’t this done', and the answer is, 'he or she is not in', with your name in that sentence.
4. Stay way away from your my-seat-is-hot-enough-without-your-c*ap boss by making sure you are well ahead on your deadlines. You do not want to be in the line of fire this season. If need be, work evenings and get to work earlier. Yeah! Then you can party over Christmas.
