Cross Country Olympics in
It is the best we have ever done as a nation, and the last time Kenya shone at the Cross country event is in 1984! Wow! Even our President, good fatherly ‘oga’ Mwai Kibaki, could not resist a smile. Our national anthem played throughout the event.
Ah! My eyes were wet with tears as I watched the events – on TV no less. They all made me so proud!
Yet it really isn’t Kenya that won, it is eight individuals who won, and those individuals happened to come from Kenya .
That is the story of your life. You do not win as a state, you win as an individual that happens to represent the nation in whatsoever it is you do.
What takes a while for most of us to understand, is that people do not win on the outside first, then start to feel like winners inside thereafter.
You win on the inside first, then you come out in the open and we see you as a winner.
You win on the inside first, then you come out in the open and we see you as a winner.
If you can grasp that last sentence well well, then you have all it takes to get the job that suits you best.
The race never starts at the start line, no it starts long before we watch it physically.
No gold medallist won on the track first – they win in their minds, in their dreams, in their waking hours at the shop, in their secret moments in their homes, everywhere else before they get to the track.
The process of winning is never (or very rarely if ever) an accidental occurence. People who win do so because they set out to win with a clear personal plan.
They chart it out first in their minds and then execute it clearly in the day.
It is not about positive thinking.

There is merit in positive thinking, but winning takes much more that just funky thought of winning. That may easier be described as wishful thinking.
There is the power of winning from within that will never let you down and all that you need is within you. The challenge is how to identify it and get it out.
That is the one thing I wish you to understand about your search for jobs in Kenya. Because of the extremely high competition for jobs in Kenya, you cannot win with just 'trying' you must have a deliberate personal plan.
There are jobs in Kenya and they are going to those who understand the dynamics of competition and are implementing a workable personal plan.
